Accent wall?
Im thinking of doing an accent wall in either the living room or our bedroom or both, but dont know which colour to choose.
Our living room is a dark rich red colour and I want to accent the wall that the fireplace is on, which is a red and brown brick. We are just moving in so we dont have any artwork or anything to pull colours from, the couch and area rug is taupe and the chair is beige/cream.
As for the bedroom, the walls are currently an almost grey brown and the bedding is chocolate and grey-blue.
The base board and trim are all original to the house and a a dark brown wood. What colour would compliment the ones we have already for each room?
Since your living room is red, then I think a light neutral colored accent wall would be perfect – something like “chalk blush” by dulux:

As for the bedroom, you’ve left no indication if the the current wall color is light or dark, so I’m afraid I don’t know what to recommend.
