Help with painting these end tables?
Hi! I am picking up these end tables which I bought off of craigslist (picture below) and I am going to paint them black to match my bedroom. I know that I need to first sand them, then put on a primer and then a paint with a glossy finish. I am about to go to the hardware store so can anyone recommend what primer and what paint I should get. I’m looking for something inexpensive and that will look good. And should I put some kind of top coat on top so that there’s no peeling? Thanks!!

Yes. After sanding the tables apply a hi-gloss black finish. Ace Hardware sells a paint called “Royal” interior/exterior, Hi-Gloss latex enamel by the quart and they handle it in black. For priming after sanding you want to apply Royal interior/exterior stain blocking and sealer with stain halt. End tables get a work out with spilled drinks, people not using coasters, etc. so go with it. I think you will be very happy with the results.
