Desk or Vanity Question?
I have an oak desk in my bedroom with 4 drawers (1 directly underneath, 3 on the right side.) It looks like this: http://edge4.dealsdirect.net/images/products/8668/1/product1_8668.jpg
only it’s wider (2x as wide as pic) and it doesn’t have the little backboard thing.
The thing is, I don’t use the desk to work on and do homework. I usually have my laptop and do hw on my bed, and all my desk is good for is putting laundry on. I have a dresser with all my makeup and styling stuff and a mirror (cuz my bathroom doesnm’t have an electircal outlet or a vanity). Should I clear off my desk an use it as a vanity to hold all my makeup and styling stuff? Or should I jsut keep it as a desk?
Use it as a vanity.
Prime it with KILZ primer.
Paint it whatever color you want.
Change the knobs on the drawers to something really cute that you love… to change it from looking like a desk and make it look more like a vanity.
Buy a mirror to put on the back of it. You can find one on Craigslist.com
once you get to Craigslist.com
Choose your state
Choose your city
Then look at the section that says ‘For Sale’
Click on ‘Household’
type in ‘mirror’ and click ‘search’
you will find a decorative mirror that will work in your space for your new vanity
