Do any of you know a good and an effective workout routine to gain muscle and loose fat at the same time?
Preferably a home workout.
I have a 100 lb weight set. (straight bar)
And an EZ-bar.
Plus an XR 17 Gold’s Gym weight bench and tredmill.
And some other small equipment.
The best way to lose fat is to diet. Eat less. That is the simplest way to do it. Have a glass of water before every meal helps curb your hunger and makes you feel full with less food. Since you are working out to gain muscle as well, I would ensure that you are having your lean meats and eggs to increase protein in your diet.
As for a workout with what you have, I would stick to the basics. Bench press, barbell rows, and shoulder press would be a great start for upper body. 3 sets of 10 repetition is a good start.
For lower body, I would do squats and deadlifts. They workout more muscles in the body than any other exercises.
Those 5 exercises done 3 times per week will get you started into gaining muscle mass and strength.
